Crow was originally a member of the Ravencroft clan, a family of Bloodlust (essentially emotion-feeding Vampires of the Corrupt Void). She was known to binge on the blood of others as if they were ripe fruit from a tree; she was reprimanded for her reckless behavior and disowned by her father. He left her stranded in the wilderness.
Her remorse for being cast out of her own family resulted in loss of sanity. Tally marks were etched into her skin with her own nails as she counted the months she spent alone. The stitches on her mouth were sewn by her father just far enough to cover her fangs, but to allow her to consume sustenance.
